Website Visitors

All web servers track basic information about their visitors.  This information includes, but is not limited to browser details, timestamps and referring pages.  None of this information can personally identify specific visitors to this site.  We also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.  We do not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and do not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.  We also collect information from you when you register on our site, fill out a form, or subscribe to our feed or newsletter.  When registering on our site or placing an order, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name and e-mail address.

Any of the information we collect from you may be used to personalize your experience and respond better to your individual needs. We may also use this information to generally improve our website and services based on the information we receive.  Periodically we may also send emails with special offers, updates or news about the site.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies. Cookies are small digital files with a string of information that a website stores on your computer’s hard drive via your Web browser. This enables us to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use cookies to help identify and track visitors, their usage of our website, and their website access preferences. Visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using our website. Note that while you can change your browser settings to disable cookies if you have privacy concerns, disabling cookies for all sites is not recommended as it may interfere with your use of some sites. The best option is to disable or enable cookies on a per site basis. Consult your browser documentation for instructions on how to block cookies and other tracking mechanisms. Like most websites however, if you turn your cookies off, some of our services may not function properly.

Ads

Ads appearing on any of our websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may use cookies, scripts, and/or web beacons which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed.. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites). This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by A Mom Is A Job and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers. Since such tracking is done directly by the third parties through their own servers, you may be subject to their own privacy policies.

DoubleClick DART cookies

We also may use DART cookies for ad serving through Google’s DoubleClick, which places a cookie on your computer when you are browsing the web and visit a site using DoubleClick advertising (including some Google AdSense advertisements). This cookie is used to serve ads specific to you and your interests (”interest based targeting”). The ads served will be targeted based on your previous browsing history (For example, if you have been viewing sites about visiting Las Vegas, you may see Las Vegas hotel advertisements when viewing a non-related site, such as on a site about hockey). DART uses “non personally identifiable information”. It does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, social security numbers, bank account numbers or credit card numbers. You can opt-out of this ad serving on all sites using this advertising by visiting http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

We do not sell trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties, your personally identifiable information to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering purchased product or service requested by the customer. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.

By using our site, you consent to our privacy policy.

If we decide to change our privacy policy we will post those changes on this page so we encourage you to check here frequently.
